Kenny Wallace, the founder of Phalanx K9 Modular Dog Training, is a United States Army Veteran and Law Enforcement Officer with a profound appreciation for the critical role dogs play in our lives. This appreciation stems from his firsthand experience in law enforcement and a deep, personal bond with his German Shepherds, Axle and Katiana.
The unexpected passing of Katiana and then Axle, along with Katiana's dominance aggression and Axle's fear and territorial aggression, inspired Kenny to ensure that no dog under his care would ever be out of control or mistreated due to a lack of leadership, training or understanding.
After consulting with professional dog behaviorist and trainer Josh Jacobson, Kenny learned something from Josh he will never forget: The importance of balance in a dog's temperament. This crucial wisdom guided him to Wrecker, a working line Malinois puppy, and a renewed commitment to training. Kenny's dedication and Josh's mentorship paid off, as he and Wrecker excelled in both obedience and protection training.
This journey sparked a passion for training that led Kenneth to a mentor of Josh, Mike D'Abruzzo of K9-1 Specialized Dog Training, whose Foundation Style Dog Training Courses and LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) guidelines shaped the humane and effective training methods used at Phalanx K9 Modular Dog Training today.
Kenny decided to take a stand against fraudulent, unethical trainers, and lobbyists that have poisoned the industry. After leaving his full-time law enforcement position and becoming a new dad to his daughter Fiona. He became a part-time Law Enforcement Officer and Humane Law Investigator for Town of Dover, NY, making time dedicating himself fully to his passion—training dogs.
