No Dog is "Untrainable"!
We know for a fact every dog has the potential for improvement, no matter the challenges. Our process begins with a comprehensive behavior, genetics, and health assessment, conducted alongside the client. We also discuss household leadership dynamics with family members and address the different types of aggression dogs may display—exploring the reasons behind their behavior with complete honesty, ethics, and transparency.
Understanding Aggression types and Reactivity
Whether your dog shows aggression or reactivity toward people, other dogs, animals, objects, locations or, even family members, we work closely with you to uncover the root cause. Together, we develop temporary management solutions as a safety net and then design a permanent training plan tailored to your dog's needs. In cases where aggression cannot be rehabilitated, we focus on aggression control in a safe and effective manner that will make the dog much safer and give the owner more peace of mind and strengthen their relationship, if your dog has a genetic aggression issue lets come up with a plan and own it!
Our Approach: Trust, Leadership, and Science-Based Methods
Our goal is to build trust between you and your dog, instill confidence in you as a handler, and foster a positive learning environment. We prioritize teaching your dog that you always have their best interests at heart. Using FSDT and Cynopraxic methods, we adapt our approach to suit each dog's unique personality, temperament, and needs. Unlike trainers who rely heavily on abusive tactics, to suppress behavior or, excessive use of electric collars—which can worsen aggression—we focus on being LIMA (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive) in our punishment and reward schedules, which are scientifically proven to work with any dog. By emphasizing rewards, good command structure and using fairly conditioned signals to guide behavior, we help your dog avoid undesirable outcomes while strengthening your relationship and leadership.
Why It Works
Our training philosophy integrates the use of Applied Behavior Analysis, Providing leadership to your dog by letting them you you have their best interests at heart, the study of dominance and submission in wild and captive wolves, classical conditioning, operant conditioning and, Premack's Principle: which reinforces desired behaviors by making them more rewarding than alternative actions, by giving your dog an appropriate outlet. This approach not only enhances your dog's confidence and trust in you but also enhances their quality of life, ensuring a stronger bond with you and your family.
